Overview
- CartPRO is a complete Catalog/Shopping-Cart program which allows the Merchant to control the Catalog without needing any knowledge of HTML or Programming. CartPRO was developed to provide a User-Friendly environment for the Merchant to easily add/modify/delete Product Information.
Key Features
- Administration Module : The Administration Module allows the Merchant to easily Add Types, Categories, and Product (along with Multiple Choices within each product). To upload the Thumbnail and Full-Size views of the product, FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is handled internally to the programs which means that it is as easy as Point and Click to upload the .jpg images.
- Built-In Search Engine : The display feature can be set so that only a certain number of product are displayed at any given time and a search within a given type can be added so that every product in a particular type can be searched. Example : If a Type is Music, and there are 3 categories underneath it (called Rock, Jazz, and Blues), a Search can be done on all of the product information (Product ID, Title/Author, and Description Content) and the results are displayed for those items that match the search (not case sensitive).
- Database Driven Catalog System : All of the Catalog Screens and the Navigation Menu are driven from data within a database on the server. This is important because it means that as soon as the Merchant adds, modifies, or deletes a product, the web pages that are requested by a customer, are updated!
- Easy to Use Interface : The Merchant can go on to the site and add Types, Categories (Types are the Main Product Levels and the Categories are the Sub Product Levels within the Types), Pictures, and Product Information (such as Product ID, Description, Price, etc.).
- On-Line Calendar : Easy to use Calendar allows the Merchant to upload individual events as well as multiple events (20 at a time) to the database. HTML Links can also be added to each event to link to other sites or pages. Colors, Sizes, Bold, and Underlined are also configured easily.
Capabilities
- The Capabilities are virtually endless with the structuring of the data. Multiple configurations of each product individually assists the Merchant in displaying one item with many choices. The size of the Product Files has not been determined yet, but a file containing 10,000 Product ID's has been used succesfully (remember that each Type of product has it's own database).
Benefits
- Cross-Frame Platform : The cart is set-up entirely in a Frame-Based layout (Frames simply break the screen of the browser into sections so that the entire screen does not have to be refreshed each time information is changed. This allows the pages to open up faster and there is always the Company Inofrmation as well as the Navigation Menu displayed at all times.
- Merchant Administration : The entire site can be controlled and updated by the Merchant without the knowledge of HTML and Server-Side Programming. Product can be updated without the need of getting in touch with PII.
- Operating System : The cart programs reside on the PII server and all of the calculations are done on the server level so the functions and the operational programs are not Browser Dependant.
Training
- PII will gladly assist your company in the Administration of the site as well as providing short-cuts for uploading massive amounts of data (via Excel Worksheets).
